About Hearing Health Care Unit of Southwest Nova Limited
We are a private Audiology and Hearing Aid clinic located in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Since 2007, we have been providing hearing health care services to adults and children in Yarmouth and the surrounding Tri-Counties area.
How We Make a Difference
We believe that our community deserves the best hearing health care and every day we strive to meet this standard. To that end, we offer a number of services and programs to make a difference in the lives and well-being of our clients.
We know how hearing loss can dramatically affect people, from feelings of isolation to depression. We also know that people are reluctant to admit they have hearing loss and suffer for years as a result. We want to end the stigma, and encourage everyone to take the first step in taking back their lives with better hearing.
What You Can Expect When You Book an Appointment
After you book your first appointment with us, the first step we take is giving you a comprehensive hearing test. This gives us a clear picture on the nature and severity of your hearing loss so we can recommend the best solution for your needs.
You might just have an excess amount of earwax that can be cleaned so you hear clearly again. You might have a medical issue or side effect from medication that is causing temporary hearing loss. You might have permanent hearing loss due to aging, exposure to loud noises at your job, and so on. You might also have tinnitus — the ringing, buzzing, hissing, or other constant noise in your ears that just won’t go away.
Our solutions range from ear cleaning, hearing loss counseling, fitting you with hearing aids, and referring you to an ENT specialist for more advanced surgical remedies.
